The History Of Cheeky Bikes

Adam and Oli started Cheeky Monkey Cycle Co. in 1999 with the initial store opening at 452 Pitt St Sydney. This store catered mostly to bicycle couriers and commuters in the Sydney CBD. A few years on and they opened Cheeky Monkey Multisport in Randwick which specialised in Road bikes and Triathlon.

Adam found his passion lay more with the Transport style of cycling and now owns and runs Cheeky Transport in Newtown. Oli was more at home in the Randwick store mixing it up with the Roadies and Triathletes.

In January of 2012 Oli with wife Kristy and their twin boys moved from Sydney to be closer to Kristy’s family in Newcastle and find a slower paced life. Cheeky Monkey Multisport was left in the very capable hands of Robert Hurley, Manager and talented Triathlete.

Oli enjoyed a relaxed Newcastle lifestyle for a while, but his imagination and drive got the better of him; so Cheeky Velosport in Warners Bay was born.
